Classic chess is a two-player board game played on a chessboard with 64 squares arranged in rows on an 8x8 grid. Each player starts with 16 pieces: including a king, one queen, two knights, two rooks, two bishops and eight pawns. The goal of this chess game is to checkmate the opponent's king, putting him under the imminent threat of capture.

The game can be played with artificial intelligence, together with another person on the same device, as well as with a rival on the network in multiplayer mode. Also in the game there is the possibility of solving chess problems.

In classical chess there are sixteen pieces (six different types).

1. King - moves from his own field to one of the free adjacent fields that is not under attack from the opponent’s pieces.

2. Queen (queen) - can move to any number of free squares in any direction in a straight line, combining the capabilities of a rook and bishop.

3. Rook - can move any number of squares horizontally or vertically, provided that there are no pieces in its path.

4. Bishop - can move any number of squares diagonally, provided that there are no pieces in its path.

5. Knight - moves two cells vertically and then one cell horizontally, or vice versa, two cells horizontally and one cell vertically.

6. Pawn - moves one square forward only, with the exception of capture.

The ultimate goal of each player is to checkmate his opponent. This means that the opponent's king finds himself in a situation in which capture is inevitable.
